Thanks for sharing. The video helped me identify the location of the Victory By Design CXS2299 video. I recognized the brick wall and did a search on Goodwood motorsports. And came up with video of 2299 racing and engine work being done on it.

It's questionable that it is even a "Tacoma" any more. I would say that the suspension is set up very badly. It looks like impressive power, but it's mostly due to a poorly set up car. Look how out of control it is under braking. Braking has nothing to do with 1,000hp.

I'd love to go to the Goodwood festival just once in my life. Looks like the ultimate historic racing venue.
Where in England is it held?
Great videos..

I've driven that beast.
Ok it was in the game DIRT for x-box. It's fun to take up Pikes Peek. I've had it up to 146.8MPH near the top.
WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

1000 hp, slicks (guessing), and wet pavement? Not sure I'd blame it on a poor setup! lol
I've done some open track sessions and a ton of autocross runs in the wet, on slicks, in my 446 rwhp heap. I'd venture a guess that "truck" is pretty well set-up and has a hell of a driver to even keep it between the hay-bales w/ the peaky power of a 1000 HP 4-cyl.

What was that IDIOT in the Land Rover doing? That thing was on a timed run, going well over 100mph at the finish line and locked up his brakes to keep from hitting him.

Have you ever seen a F1 car in the rain or one on the LeMans series? The truck was not set up properly for the track or the wet pavement. The driver definitely did an outstanding job though. The suspension seemed very twitchy. That is why someone mentioned above about the wing not working to help keep it planted. Comparing your home based autocross to it shouldn't be in the same league. I doubt you have their budget.

That's pretty nuts, but this really gives me the willies. And no hay bales for the spectators.

Goodwood is in Chichester, England in the southwest part of the island. The Goodwood Revival is an incredible event and should be coming up next month. The festival is a hill climb through the estate roads, while the Revival is on the track. The pits are off-limits unless you have a special pass, but if you dress as a crew member, you can get in really easy.

If that's a Tacoma, I'm driving a 3/4 ton 4x4 Ferrari diesel! Is that the NASCAR of Goodwood series?

Having done a fair amount of hill-climbs I can tell you that the size of the drop offs don't matter as long as you keep your eyes and your car on the track.

If I remember right, that Tacoma and its sister Celica (the one that set the previous 10min, 4sec Pikes Peak record) both have Gurney Eagle GTP car engines (~1000hp at sea level but down to something like 750 at the top of the hill). Pretty wild cars! And Roddy's the man when it comes to Pikes Peak! Well, him, "Monster", and Bobby Unser!
