4th Annual Cobra Cookout 8-15-09
New England Car buffs: (Don't forget to put on your calendar!)
I would like to announce our fourth annual Cobra / Ford / Sport Car cookout August 15th, 2009 at 11am. Rain date 16th! All types of cars are welcome to join in the fun. This is an opportunity to show off your car while looking at other awesome creations.
This event will be held at my house 14 New Boston Rd, Candia NH. Last year we had a great turn out even some of the NE Viper Club stopped in. (Candia is right outside Manchester NH) Of course Ron H in his Lotus Elan was a show stopper.
I will provide burgers, hot dogs, salads, some sweets, and non-alcoholic beverages. If you have a favorite dish you would like others to taste you are welcome to bring it along to. That is totally up to you……
Please RSVP by August 1st, 2009
We hope to see you all there!
Please contact: Jeff or Danielle
Office (603) 821-5978
Home (603) 483-8100
jdamz@comcast.net or jdgagnon1@juno.com
or simply reply to this post here as we don't want to run short on food!

With Bells (or Snells) On
Jeff,
I've had it on my calender since last year........will definitely be there. Also there are some Lotus guys that I met when a bunch of us went to Ferrari of New England a few weeks ago. Remember your burnout, Ron? OK if I ask them as well? One guy has a beautiful, owned since new, twin turbo Esprit. Hey usual guys, I should be off this year . We should plan an event day to make the trip. It was a great time last year....until the rains came. Then I was glad I was in the Lotus..... well, not exactly glad.
Ron

We actually have had a bunch of comments about the street, all positive. We are planning to get a permit to close the street to traffic other than ourselves if possible. We are the only house on this end of the street and there are two other access roads giving access to folks up the street. If we get town permission, we plan to park up and down both sides of the street at an angle giving room for at least 60+ cars.
We hope to again host the Lotus group and the Viper Club. Maybe this year we can get the Vette club out?
Hoping for great weather!

Remember the rain chant from the original Wodstock festival? I'm doin' it everyday now in hopes that it will keep the rain away for the weekend of the fifteenth!
Cobra cookout on Saturday and the NH Blues festival by roadster on Sunday... I'm stoked!
Jeff, I'll bring some of my world famous stuffed Quahogs to bake on the grill. Do you need or want any help setting up either that morn or Friday? I'm only a few miles away

Help would be great! However, don't feel obligated.
Look forward to your specialty dish. Coffee will be on by 8am, most show up around noon, earlier is perfect too....
Everyone is welcome to bring a dish, maybe secret family recipe stuff???? LOL
I am praying to the weather Gods.....

Ron,
I love Blueberry deserts....... Hope others get a slice....LOL
Come one come all, we will have the standard Hamburger, Hot dogs, chips, soda, water, fruits, and assorted munchies. Remember, as always, we are also having activities for kids so that might help with the family time....
Do the dance of SUN, coffee on by 9am for those early birds if so inclined. Typical busy hours are noon thru 4pm......
Hope to see you all.
Jeff and family

But John, we were going to go through tunnels! Ok, probably not, but we were going to go fast!
I guess I'll be doing the begining of the trip solo!

Yep, all set on my end. I need to take the stickers off or leave them on to distract views away from the paint
Is there some meeting point? I believe I'm running solo from the southern contingency, and...... are you bringing the Lotus?
I'll be bringing some Chorico and Portuguese sweet rolls

Dunks.... Say 10:30? I am just putting it out there, I m okay with earlier or later, I am travelling this week and Frank is too. I am not sure if Frank is going or not. I asked him before he left... HE was non-commital.
Ron do you want to meet on Route 3 or 93 like when we went Louden?

Ron and John F.
I have to leave the BBQ early that day so I was thinking of going up in the AM to help Jeff set up. I'm sure he would like the addtional help if you guys are interested. I'll probably head up around 9. I am planning on driving the Lotus (per request of our host) and certainly would meet anyone who is interested in heading up at that time. Let me know.
John, glad you made out at the track OK.
Ron

I am planning on attending with the 33. I'll have to meet you guys there as I will pick up Steve in Lawrence on the way up. May be a bit late arriving (gotta cycle - big race is in 2 weeks) - probably around noon.
Looking forward to it,
Henry

Hi guys. Have a question for you Jeff or others that attended last year. I may try and skirt other commitments saturday to attend but had a question first. My wife doesn't enjoy going to car shows, cruise nights, or similar events becuase she ends up a "widow" while I talk car talk with others. She has no real interest in talking about cars herself or in hanging out with "the crew" of guys. I asked her if she might want to go to this BBQ and she told me to find out for her how many people normally bring their spouse/wife/significant others to this BBQ before she would decide. So is this more a bunch of guys admiring and talking cars or is it more of a social event that I should bring the wife along to? I am thinking of attending either way, just promised to find this out for her so she could decide what she was going to do...
Thanks!
